There is a Silver Lining

It’s no accident that the name of our practice derives from a song made famous by Judy Garland in 1946. The term itself, “silver lining” suggests a sign of hope, a bright prospect in what may otherwise be an un-chosen, unfortunate, possibly even gloomy situation.  At Silver Linings we have brought together a team of outstanding therapists, who are dedicated to working with older people, to help them look behind and beyond the clouds that may have come into their lives.

Caring and Collaborative Approach

Our caring and collaborative approach is based on helping our clients to remember and identify the strengths that have brought them this far in life and helping them build on those strengths. We understand that feeling comfortable, having rapport, and building a trusting relationship between client and Therapist are keys to a successful outcome.

We also believe strongly in our collaborative approach. This approach may include jointly working with your Physician, Physical Therapist, Residential Director, and family (of course with your permission) to more readily assist you in reaching your goals.

Holistic and Integrative Approach

We practice a holistic, integrative approach which has been shown to be a very effective method for assisting people in the process of healing, making transformations, and creating a life filled with overall happiness and wellness, or as the song says, “…joy and gladness”.
